Deja West is a Fellow at One World, where she contributes to research and policy efforts that strengthen public-sector strategy and advance community impact.

She holds a B.A. in Political Science from Texas Southern University and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Social Policy Evaluation at Rice University, building advanced skills in evidence-based decision-making.

Deja also serves as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force Reserves, where she applies disciplined leadership, operational excellence, and mission-focused execution across complex environments. Known for wearing many hats, she brings adaptability, accountability, and a results-oriented mindset to her work.

Outside of her professional and academic commitments, Deja enjoys watching the Food Network, spending time outdoors on walking trails, participating in her Bible study group, and relaxing with friends and her dog, Myles.
