Janice Evans likes to lift heavy things. If her schedule would allow, she would be at the gym all the time working to achieve her dream of completing an unassisted pullup or in the Texas Hill Country sipping some wine. Her New Year always begins with the planting of hundreds of tulip bulbs in the front yard of her tiny historic Houston Heights Bungalow. She would rather plant peonies like the ones at her childhood home in Illinois, but they will not grow in Houston.

A former reporter turned PR professional, Janice has sat at the executive tables of two Houston mayors and a city controller, providing advice and counsel on wide-ranging public policy and communications issues. She knows government and politics and is depended upon to be the canary in the coal mine, always thinking ahead to the consequences that will result from quick decisions and a lack of adequate community engagement.

In addition to being a member of the One World Strategy Group, Janice owns JEvansDavis LLC. She is a political analyst for the Sunday morning What’s Your Point show on Fox 26, and one time long ago co-chaired the effort to create historic districts in the Houston Heights. Janice’s favorite times are anytime she spends with the three people she loves the most – husband Eric, daughter Hannah and son-in-law Jack. She also loves the family cat Kiki, but seriously wishes Kiki to be more accepting of that love.
