We had the honor of presenting our inaugural Brilliant Minds scholarship to Ms. Margarita Hobson spring 2013. After working with the Jack Yates communications program during our Kid’s Get Fit event, we were made aware of Hobson’s talent in videography and photography.
Margarita Hobson has managed to stay involved throughout her high-school career and continue to make excellent grades. In addition to her great performance in the communications program, Margarita has balanced an extensive schedule as an athlete. She has been a part of the basketball, volleyball, swim, and Crimson Dolls team. Hobson graduated with high honors being in the top 5% of her senior class and attended Texas Southern University in the fall. Margarita is currently majoring in communications and deciding on a minor in either photography of sports medicine.
It is her dream to one day be a movie producer or television director. One World applauds her passion to learn and her brilliance.
